An Introduction to Xquisite Photography
First of all, thank you for your enquiry, your consideration is appreciated.
I also want to make it clear that I fully understand that your wedding photographs are very important to you. After the vows have been exchanged. The confetti thrown, and your dress is packed away as a lasting keepsake, your wedding album is all that is left to re- live your wedding day. So it is very important to get the photographs you want that help capture your day, your personalities and the atmosphere you have created. Together we can achieve this.
I am a Master Photographer qualifying at Glasgow University in 1984. I have been teaching photography since 1995. I have photographed over two thousand weddings during the last 26 years from Bolton to Gibraltar, and I have won various awards over the years for my work. Working as a photographer in England, Scotland, Spain, Florida, Ireland and Germany has led me to believe that it is a privilege and a compliment to be chosen as the photographer for each wedding I shoot. And I promise to always try to push myself artistically to ensure I get the very best possible results for you. It may be of interest to you to know that I try to remain contemporary in my work by attending workshops, lectures and seminars with some of the world's top photographers. Jerry Ghionis , (my hero) Terence Donovan, Bambi Cantrell and David Royston Bailey to name but a few. This has not only allowed me to put my own slant on their ideas but has increased my own repertoire of shots and poses for you to choose from. It has encouraged my own creativity so to speak. " I don't mind learning from the best in the world".
I will shoot the style of photography chosen by you. Whether it be traditional or informal, or a mixture of both and of course in colour and black and white. I want you to have fun and enjoy your photo-shoot. And why not, it's the happiest day of your life after all, so let your photographs show that.
The amount of coverage is left entirely to you, and can begin at bride's house, and end with a nice evening sunset portrait to really finish the day off.
A month before the date of your wedding it's a good idea to finalise all details. This will help put your mind at rest that your day will run as smoothly as possible. We can discuss which photographs you would like to be taken and I will be more than happy to advise you on any aspects of the day. It's your wedding and it will be planned around you.
All our wedding packages include a framed 14 x 11 engagement portrait; your engagement portrait can be taken in the studio or an outdoor location. In colour or black and white. This is a good opportunity for you to get used to having your photograph taken and it also helps you to get to know me then hopefully you will feel more relaxed on the day. Then it's more like a friend turning up than a photographer. If you would like to book your wedding we require a deposit of £199. Your balance is paid 4 weeks before your wedding day. We also have a monthly payment plan and your family and friends can buy gift vouchers to put towards your album.
I realise planning a wedding means making big decisions and if I can be of any help at all please ask. We also do gents/boys suit hire and we have our own bridal cars.
